2-Alarm Fire Breaks Out At Multifamily Residence In CT
An early-morning fire broke out at a multifamily residence in Fairfield County. Firefighters received reports of the blaze in Stamford on Fairfield Avenue at about 5 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found a large fire that extended from all three floors to an attic of the residence, the Stamford Fire Department said. Two firefighters suffered injuries and a family dog died during a fire that broke out in a multi-family home in Fairfield County. First responders in Stamford responded to a Cove Road residence shortly before 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, where there were reports of a fire that broke out in an area home, the Stamford Fire Department said. It took firefighters less than an hour to get a Fairfield County house fire under control over the weekend. The fire was reported just after 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 10 in the upstairs bedroom of a home at 340 Haig. Ave., in Stamford. A firefighter was hospitalized after battling a blaze at a home in Fairfield County. The Stamford Fire Department reported that 26 personnel initially responded to the fire that broke out at the residence located at 45 Reynolds Avenue on Saturday, Aug. 28. Four Fairfield County lifeguards are being honored for their efforts in attempting to save a drowning man who was thrown into the water from an overturned canoe. Just as a fierce Nor'easter moved into Fairfield County, firefighters were out battling an early-morning house fire.
