CT Man Charged After 4-Hour Crime Spree Robbing Multiple Women, Sexually Assaulting 1 A Fairfield County man has been charged after allegedly attacking and robbing multiple women over four hours. Cecil Mills, age 35, of Bridgeport, was arrested around 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 24 after a vehicle pursuit, crash, and foot chase that ended near the intersection of North Avenue and Madison Avenue. According to Det. Detective Jeffrey Holtz of the Bridgeport Police, the victims all report being followed by what turned out to be a stolen Toyota Camry, before being robbed and assaulted.  Mills was charged with sexually assaulting one of the three women he allegedly robbed.…

Officials Issue Warning After Stranded Fisherman Rescued From Rocks At Popular Park A fisherman was the latest person to be rescued from the rocks at a park which is a popular fishing and swimming area, prompting officials to issue a warning. The incident took place in Fairfield County at Seaside Park around 5:33 p.m. Sunday, June 28, when Bridgeport Police received word the man had been stranded after the tide came in. 28 Rescued From Breakwater Rocks At Park In Connecticut Nearly 30 people, including several children, were rescued from breakwater rocks at Seaside Park in Bridgeport. This incident happened Saturday night, May 2 in Bridgeport. The 28 couldn't get back to shore due to high tide.   After they were rescued, they were shuttled back to the Ferry Terminal Dock, said Scott Appleby, the director of the Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security for the City of Bridgeport. All 28 refused medical assessment and all refused transportation back to their vehicles, Appleby said.
