Wolcott Man With Self-Inflicted Wounds Dies While In Custody: Inspector General Investigating The death of a man who was placed into custody after experiencing a mental health crisis and severely injuring himself has prompted an investigation by the Connecticut Office of the Inspector General into the incident. The investigation will look into an incident that happened in New Haven County on Tuesday, Oct. 31 around 3:45 a.m., when Wolcott Police officers responded to a home on Tyrell Drive where a man was suffering from a mental health crisis.
