DUI Arrest: CT Man Swerves In Road, Pops Tire, Police Say Police have arrested a Connecticut man for driving drunk after he was reportedly seen swerving on the roadway. The Fairfield County incident occurred in the town of Wilton on Friday, April 26. Just before 10:50 p.m., 72-year-old Ilia Demiraj was driving a gray Nissan Altima in the area of Ridgefield and Millstone Roads. Witnesses reported to police that Demiraj was swerving in and out of the roadway and had possibly struck a rock on the side of the road. CT Woman Accused Of Drunk Driving After Almost Hitting Oncoming Cars A Northern Westchester woman was been accused of driving intoxicated after allegedly swerving and almost hitting oncoming traffic in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Wilton on Friday, May 19 on Ridgefield Road. Wilton police conducted a traffic stop after receiving a report of a vehicle swerving over the double-yellow line and almost hitting oncoming traffic, said Wilton Police Capt. Gregg Phillipson. Motorist Who Crossed Over Into Oncoming Route 7 Traffic Under Influence, Police Say A driver who allegedly crossed over into two lanes of oncoming traffic was arrested for DUI after being detained by another motorist. Gregorio Jimenez, 49, of Norwalk, was arrested in Fairfield County on Tuesday, June 16, after Wilton Police received a 911 call about a car driving the wrong way on Route 7 (Danbury Road), Lt. Robert Kluk said. The 911 caller was able to position his truck in front of Jimenez's vehicle and successfully stopped him north of the intersection of Danbury Road and Ridgefield Road, Kluk said.
