2 Pedestrians Hit, 1 Killed In Bristol Two pedestrians were hit, and one was killed by a vehicle at a busy Connecticut intersection.  The crash occurred in Hartford County in Bristol around 4:15 a.m., Monday, June 24, in the area of Pine Street (Route 72) and Emmett Street. According to Lt. Patrick Krajewski of the Bristol Police, officers from the patrol division administered life-saving measures until EMS arrived on the scene to take over care. Both pedestrians were transported to area hospitals, where one pedestrian died, Krajewski said.  The victims are not being identified at this time, …

Woman ID'd As Victim In Fatal Hartford Hit-Run Crash A 40-year-old Hampden County woman was identified as the victim of a fatal hit-and-run crash Wednesday night, June 19, in Hartford. The car that hit her was later found abandoned and on fire.  Lutricia Daniels, of Chicopee, was walking along Main Street at 11:55 p.m. when a Honda Accord slammed into her and sped away, Hartford police said. Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle In Region A pedestrian was hospitalized in Western Massachusetts after being struck by a car while crossing a busy intersection. In Hampden County, members of the Monson Police Department responded to the intersection of High Street and Market Street at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 3, where there was a reported pedestrian strike. According to police, after being struck, the pedestrian was transported to the Baystate Medical Center for “serious injuries” that are not believed to be life-threatening. Pedestrian On Highway Killed By Being Struck By Two Cars In Region, Police Say Police are investigating after a man was fatally struck by two cars while walking on a highway in Western Massachusetts.  Massachusetts State Police said troopers responded at about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 5, to I-291 westbound, near the 1.5-mile marker in Springfield. Person Struck By Tractor-Trailer On I-84 In Connecticut A pedestrian was hit by a tractor-trailer and seriously injured on I-84 in Fairfield County. Connecticut State Police said the incident took place around 3:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 25 near Exit 11 in Newtown. Responding troopers said the person was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The roadway was closed for several hours, backing up traffic for at least eight miles, before reopening later on Monday morning. The extent of injuries was not immediately provided.
