Stolen Vehicle Pursuit In Holyoke Ends With Crash In Region A suspect was arrested in Western Massachusetts following a pursuit in a stolen vehicle.  Shortly after 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, police in Hampshire County received an alert that Holyoke Police in Hampden County and Massachusetts State Police were involved in a pursuit with a stolen vehicle driven by a suspect accused of breaking and entering, according to the Hadley Police Department. Hadley PD officers attempted to deploy tire deflation devices and saw the suspect vehicle leave I-91 North at a high rate of speed and travel over the Coolidge Bridge into Hadley, police said.  …

Man Waiting In Line For Lunch Stabbed In Unprovoked Attack In Region A man waiting to pick up his lunch in Western Massachusetts was viciously stabbed in his throat and his assailant went on the run, police said. In Hampshire County, all available Northampton police officers responded to the downtown area at approximately noon on Thursday, March 10, where there was a reported stabbing at an area eatery. Police said that the victim was waiting in line for his lunch when another man approached him from behind, unprovoked, and cut him with a knife in the front of his neck before fleeing the scene. Suspect Nabbed After Stabbing At Walmart In Region A Western Massachusetts was arrested after allegedly stabbing a Walmart employee. The incident took place in Hampshire County around 5 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 17 in Northampton. According to the Northampton Police Department, police were called to Walmart for a report of two employees in an altercation.  Upon arrival, officers located one of the males suffering from multiple stab wounds, the department said. Woman Rescued After Falling Down Deep Embankment In Region Police and firefighters rescued a Western Massachusetts woman after she fell down a steep embankment and into a shallow stream. The incident took place in Hampshire County around 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 13, when Northampton Police and Northampton Fire Rescue responded behind the Millbank Condominiums for a 53-year-old woman that had fallen down a steep embankment and into a shallow stream, the fire department said. Police officers were able to pull the woman out, and firefighters extricated the female up the steep embankment using a sled.  The woman was transported to Cooley Dickins…
