Sharon Man Ticketed In NY Crash That Seriously Injured 6-Year-Old A 6-year-old boy was airlifted to a hospital with severe lacerations following a crash on I-87 in the Hudson Valley. The collision occurred around 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 22, on I-87 in Orange County in the town of Newburgh. According to Trooper Tara McCormick of the New York State Police, a preliminary investigation at the scene determined that a 2022 Toyota Tundra was parked on the right shoulder when the driver, Connecticut resident Peter W. Nugent, age 42, of the town of Sharon in Litchfield County, reentered the roadway into the path of a 2011 Toyota Venza.  The Venza overturned…

Woman Killed In Crash In Region Remembered For 'Contagious Laughter' A college student killed in a crash on I-87 is being remembered for her "contagious laughter." Saratoga County resident Katryn R. Fisher, of Ballston Spa, was age 22. The crash happened on the Northway stretch of I-87 at around 9:55 p.m. Saturday, May 28 on the northbound side in Albany County in the town of Colonie. CT Man Rams Two Cruisers During Pursuit, Police Say A Connecticut man was arrested by New York State Police for allegedly fleeing officers and ramming two police vehicles in an effort to escape before finally being apprehended in Westchester County. The incident started around 4 p.m. Thursday, June 24, when New York State Police were assisting the Mahwah, New Jersey, Police Department and South Nyack Police Department with a pursuit that entered I-287 and continued south on I-87, said Trooper Tara McCormick.
