20-Year-Old Killed In 2-Vehicle CT Crash
A 20-year-old was killed after slamming into the back of a tractor-trailer on a busy Connecticut roadway, police said. The crash took place in New Haven County around 8:30 p.m. near Exit 23 on I-84 in Waterbury. According to state police, both vehicles were traveling westbound when a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Fairfield County resident Zachary James Carlson, of Danbury, failed to slow down due to traffic and struck the rear of the tractor-trailer. Protests Lead To More Road Closures In Connecticut
Protests over police-involved deaths caused several road closures in Connecticut on Sunday afternoon, May 31. All roads affected in Norwalk reopened by 4 p.m., Norwalk Police said. Connecticut Avenue (Route 1) had been closed between Rampart Road and Scribner Avenue in Norwalk. The closure was extended to Scribner Avenue.
