College Student In NY's Hudson Valley Killed In Hit-Run Crash Near Campus A college student was killed in and hit-and-run crash near campus in the Hudson Valley. The incident happened around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23 in Ulster County outside SUNY New Paltz where the victim, Ray Rattray, age 22, was a student. The Ulster County Sheriff's Office said the crash occurred on Route 208 in the town of New Paltz between the area of Hawk Drive and Cross Creek Road. When deputies arrived, they located Rattray, a New York City resident, in a wooded area approximately 20 feet from the road.  Rattray was a Philosophy major, an Educational Opportunity Program student, …

ID Released For Man Struck, Killed In Hit-Run New Milford Crash Police in Connecticut have identified a Fairfield County man who was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash. John W. Capodanno, age 64, of Bethel, was killed around 9:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6 in Litchfield County in the area of 177 Danbury Road in New Milford. According to New Milford Police, Capodanno was crossing the street when he was struck and killed by a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse driven by Maria Bosch, age 41, of New Milford. Bosch, who was not injured, fled the scene but her vehicle was found at a nearby apartment complex, police said. She is cooperating with the police, officials…

Hit-Run Crash Under Investigation In Region One person was injured during a hit-and-run crash in Western Massachusetts. The incident took place around 3:30 p.m., Tuesday,  Feb. 1, on Exchange Street in Chicopee, according to 22 News. The news channel reported a vehicle hit a parked car and then left the area. Police told the news channel the vehicle, with the driver and passenger inside, were caught a short distance away. One of the suspects was taken to the hospital with injuries but the injuries are said to be minor. The crash is under investigation. Man Charged After Walking Away From Hit-Run Crash In Region, Police Say A Western Massachusetts man who had been arrested the day before on drug charges was apprehended again by the same police department for an alleged hit-and-run crash the next day. Hampden County resident Kornstatin Gladysh, age 24, of Westfield, was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 21 after East Longmeadow Police responded to a report of a crash.
