Investigation Underway After Possible Grenade Found Buried In CT Yard
Authorities are investigating after a possible grenade was found buried in a yard in Connecticut. Police in Hartford County responded to a location on Troy Road in South Windsor at about 2:45 p.m. on Monday, April 18, according to the South Windsor Police Department. A man, who was checking the property with a metal detector, reported that he found what appeared to be a grenade buried about a foot under the grass in the front yard, police said. City Hall In Region Evacuated After Suspicious Container Found
A Western Massachusetts city hall has been evacuated after a suspicious contained was found near its entrance. The container was found around 10:15 a.m., Monday, Feb. 14, near the entrance to the Springfield City Hall. According to Ryan Walsh, spokesman for the Springfield Police the building was evacuated as a precaution. The Arson and Bomb Squad is investigating. This is a developing story. Multiple Bomb Threats Reported At Yale Campus
Several buildings at Yale University in New Haven were evacuated after multiple bomb threats were reported on campus, officials announced. An alert sent out by the school said that the university has received calls about bombs being placed in multiple buildings on its New Haven campus. University Theatre, Jonathan Edwards College, the Yale Art Gallery, Vanderbilt Hall, Bingham Hall, Welch Hall, and Grace Hopper were all evacuated at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, and people have been advised to avoid those areas. Bomb Threats Shut Down Train Station, Large Office Building In CT
A Fairfield County train station and another building have been evacuated after separate bomb threats. The first call came into the Bridgeport Emergency Command Center just before 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 19, saying the bomb would go off at the Bridgeport Train Station, at 525 Water St., in 10 minutes, said the Bridgeport Fire Department. The building was immediately evacuated and MTA officials said train travel is being delayed by up to 25 minutes as of 10:30 a.m. The building is being searched by K-9 dogs and police, according to Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management.&…

Police: Barricaded Shooter Found Dead After Hours-Long Standoff In Branford
A shooter who barricaded himself in a building in New Haven County, firing indiscriminately at people and pinning down arriving police, was found dead after an hours-long standoff that shut down an entire neighborhood. The incident began around noontime on Tuesday, April 13 in New Haven County.
