Walmart Gets Rid Of Single-Use Bags At All CT Locations Walmart has removed all single-use plastic and paper bags from the checkout counters at its Connecticut locations. The new policy was implemented on Wednesday, Jan. 18, the company announced.  Customers are encouraged to bring reusable bags or containers to transport their purchases, representatives said. Agriculture departments in 30 states are warning people about unsolicited seed deliveries that appear to be coming from China. Beautiful 'Healthy' Maple Tree Found Cut Down At Norwalk Park Police are investigating after a beautiful, healthy maple tree was found cut down in an area park. Norwalk City officials said the tree was found cut down in Mill Pond Park on Tuesday, June 30.  The tree knocked over a garbage can resulting in litter being scattered all across the park.
