Man Nabbed In CT For String Of Burglaries In Multiple States, Police Say A New York man driving a truck with a stolen license plate wanted for its involvement in numerous alleged burglaries in surrounding states was nabbed after a short chase in Connecticut. CT Duo Nabbed With Drugs, Guns After Pursuit, Police Say A Connecticut couple was allegedly found with a large number of guns and fentanyl following a chase with police through Fairfield County. The incident took place in Trumbull on Wednesday, Oct. 18. According to Trumbull Police Lt. CT Man Killed In Single-Car Crash After Hitting Tree, Police Say A Fairfield County man was killed during a single-car crash. It happened around 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 9 on Daniels Farm Road in Trumbull. According to Lieutenant Brian Weir, of the Trumbull Police Department, arriving officers began rendering medical aid to the victim, Scott Polke, age 59, of Trumbull. Trumbull EMS transported him to Saint Vincent’s Hospital where he later died from his injuries, Weir said. Man Accused Of Operating Drug Factory At CT Home, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been busted for allegedly growing pot and operating a drug factory after police officers smelled marijuana near his home. Matthew Fabian, age 49, of Trumbull, was arrested on Tuesday, June 1, after he had been seen by police moving several marijuana plants around his property and tending to them as the illegally grown plants were kept in various locations around the exterior of his residence, said Lieutenant Brian D. Fairfield County Thieves Again Targeting Unlocked Vehicles, Police Say Despite the current health emergency and stay-at-home orders, crime has continued to strike on Fairfield County town, with thieves targeting unlocked cars overnight in residential neighborhoods.  Trumbull Police said that over the weekend on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5, the town has one vehicle stolen and eight were opened and property was stolen, said Trumbull Police Lt.
