CT Woman Nabbed For Stealing, Cashing Checks, Police Say A Fairfield County woman was nabbed for allegedly ripping off checks, altering them, and then cashing them.  Norwalk resident Joann Guzman, age 28, was arrested on Sunday, Feb. 25, for the incident that occurred in January. According to Westport Police Lt. Drunk CT Man Arrested After Falling Asleep In Another Person's Barn, Police Say A Connecticut man was arrested after allegedly getting drunk and doing drugs and falling asleep in another person's barn. Windham County resident Jayden Velasquez, age 24, of Windham, was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 1 after Connecticut State Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle. Police in Darien arrested Emmanuel Bazil, age 26, of Norwalk, on Friday, March 19, for the crime which took place in July 2019 in Darien, said Darien Police Sgt. James Palmieri. Man Arrested For Forgery, ID Theft From Local Business, Police Say A man wanted for allegedly fraudulently cashing payroll checks from a Fairfield County business has been arrested on a warrant. Mandel Bidone, 29, of Ansonia, was arrested on Saturday, April 25, by the Wilton Police Department, following an investigation into the event that took place in January, said Lt. Robert Kluk. Bidone was taken into custody without incident and charged with identity theft, forgery, and criminal attempt at larceny.  He was released on a promise to appear ticket and is scheduled to appear in court on June 10.

Hussenin Alyelsherif, 43, of Waterford, was arrested after New London Police received an anonymous that the 7-Eleven/Citgo store on 238 Broad St., in New London, were selling the at-home kits for $39.99, said the New London Police.
