A Fairfield County man has been charged with possession of child pornography after police allegedly found 153 video files containing child sex abuse during a search of his home. Eduardo Barajas-Mendoza, age 37 of Wilton, was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 30 by the Wilton Police following an intensive investigation. According to Lt. A Massachusetts man who performed as a children's magician for two decades across New England admitted to having child sexual abuse material and traveling to another country to rape a child, federal authorities said. A Connecticut man will spend decades in prison after being sentenced for recording himself sexually abusing a minor over the course of several years, federal authorities announced. A Fairfield County man has been charged with numerous counts of allegedly sexually abusing a child over a time period of more than five years. Fernando Cachina, age 86, of Monroe, was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 16, for 19 counts of sexual assault charges. A 34-year-old man from Western Massachusetts has pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender. Berkshire County resident Jarrett Woodruff, of Pittsfield, pleaded guilty on Friday, Nov. 12, to one count of failure to register as a sex offender, according to Nathaniel Mendell, acting United States attorney for the District of Massachusetts. Woodruff was charged in November of 2020, Mendell said. A pair of child sex abuse cases in Fairfield County have been closed with the arrests of two men. Officers from the Stamford Police Special Victims Unit traveled to Los Angeles, to extradite 35-year-old Fredy A. Orellana back to the state for his part in a two-year prolonged sexual assault of a child under the age of 10 years old, said Stamford PD Captain Diedrich Hohn.
