33-Year-Old Driver Dies After Head-On Crash With CT State Police Vehicle A 33-year-old woman died from injuries she sustained in a head-on crash with a Connecticut State Police vehicle on Route 6 in Connecticut. The crash happened in the Windham County town of Chaplin at about 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21, Connecticut State Police reported. Lindsey Bidwell, of Windham, was driving a 2017 Nissan Maxima west on Route 6 near the intersection with Nyberg Road when she attempted to negotiate a right curve in the roadway, police said. Suspect In Connecticut Homicide Case Arrested At Hotel In New Hampshire, Police Say A suspect in a Connecticut homicide case was arrested at a hotel in New Hampshire. Matthew Candler, age 46, was located and brought into custody at the Seabrook Inn, in Seabrook, New Hampshire, according to an update from Connecticut State Police on Tuesday, May 3. Candler was identified by police as the suspect in the death of 51-year-old Jeffrey Rawson in Windham County. Rawson, of Chaplin, was found dead at a location on Miller Road in Chaplin at about 6:10 a.m. on Sunday, May 1, police previously reported.
