Missing CT Woman Found Dead Days After Disappearing A missing Fairfield County woman who disappeared four days ago has been found dead. Veronica Young, age 70,  was found around 8:45 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 10 Barnum Dyke in Bridgeport. Capt. Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police said Young was reported missing by family members. She was last seen on video in downtown Bridgeport (100 block of Fairfield Avenue) on Friday, Dec. 15, around 4 pm. Man Found Dead 12 Hours After Police Respond To Report Of Shots Fired In CT, Police Say A Bridgeport man was found shot dead almost 12 hours after police responded to the area on a notification of shots fired. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 8:15 p.m., Wednesday, April 26 in the 100 block of Denver Avenue. According to Captain Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police, officers responded to the area on Wednesday after receiving a ShotSpotter notification. Once on the scene, officers collected several items of evidence, conducted interviews, canvassed the area, and documented their investigation, Gilleran said. Man Critical After Shooting In Parking Lot At CT Nightclub, Police Say A man is in critical condition after being shot during a fight in the parking lot of a Fairfield County nightclub.  The incident took place around 2 a.m., Sunday, March 6, when Bridgeport Police responded to reports of a person shot at the Ten20 Club. CT Man Nabbed For Sexual Assault, Home Invasion, Police Say Police were able to quickly nab a man wanted for the sexual assault of a 21-year-old Fairfield County woman. The 27-year-old New Haven County resident from Ansoniad was found around 11:27 p.m.on Monday, July 12 when Bridgeport Police responded to the area of Gregory Street and Rennel Court on the report of shots fired with a party down.  Upon arrival, officers observed a crowd of citizens surrounding a vehicle parked on Rennell Court with an unresponsive man in the driver’s seat, said Captain Kevin Gilleran. CT Man Accused Of Stabbing Brother To Death, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been arrested for stabbing his brother to death during a fight.
