Temporary Sobriety Checkpoint In Hartford Going Up Today

Hartford Police will set up an OUI checkpoint in the area of 175 New Britain Ave. today.

The checkpoint will operate today, July 23, from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., said Connecticut State Police. Checkpoints are part of the state’s anti-operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs enforcement. At the checkpoints, police will be randomly stopping vehicles and checking the driver for sobriety.
