The 65-foot-tall tree, a focal point for the city's holiday celebrations, was blown over by high winds on Sunday, Nov. 15. Each year, New Haven prides itself on choosing the most beautiful tree for the city’s Green. This year’s tree, a Norway Spruce Evergreen, came from Budding Ridge Road in Cheshire.
