Man, Woman From CT Both Ejected After Vehicle Overturns On I-84 Stretch
A man and woman were both ejected in a single-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley, authorities said.
It happened around 1:45 a.m. Saturday, April 15 in Putnam County on I-84 in the town of Southeast.
A preliminary investigation determined that the driver, Yorman Hernandez-Alcala, age 29, of Bristol, Connecticut, was traveling eastbound in the right lane when the vehicle in the left lane failed to stay in the lane, causing him to lose control, New York State Police said.

IDs, Info Released After Pickup Truck Hits DOT Worker On I-684
A 41-year-old highway construction worker who was seriously injured after being hit by a pickup truck on I-684 has been identified, along with the motorist.
The incident took place in Putnam County around 3:07 p.m., Monday, May 11, northbound on the highway in the town of Southeast, according to the New York State Police.
An initial investigation found that Richard N. Russo, 48, of North Salem, was northbound in the right lane driving a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado when he struck a worker contracted by the New York State Department of Transportation, said Trooper AJ Hicks.

Fairfield County Man Critically Injured In Westchester Crash
A man from Fairfield County was critically injured when his car veered off the Saw Mill River Parkway in Northern Westchester, struck two guide rails and went down an embankment.
The accident occurred about 2 a.m., Friday, Feb. 7, on the southbound Saw Mill River Parkway in Bedford at Harris Road, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the Westchester County Police.
The 2002 Ford Focus left the roadway, striking a guide rail adjacent to the right lane of travel, O'Leary said.

A father from Westchester was taking his son and two friends to a Jewish league basketball game when the BMW they were aboard was involved in a wrong-way crash on I-287.
Jordan Wachtell, 57, of Ardsley, was driving a 2018 BMW 330CI when it was struck by a 2006 Jeep, operated by Jaime Paucar, 50, of Amawalk, traveling westbound in the eastbound lane around 8:30 p.m. in Harrison on Thursday, Jan. 30, state police said.
The crash caused the Jeep to roll over and come to rest on the center median guide rail, according to police.

A driver who was impatient with stalled traffic decided to cross the double yellow lines and drive in the wrong direction to pass has been charged with seriously injuring a woman getting out of a taxi cab in Westchester, police said.

Man Killed In Single-Vehicle I-684 Crash
A Westchester man was killed during a single-vehicle crash on I-684 in the town of North Castle.
John M. Saunders, 74, of Mamaroneck, was killed around 7:20 p.m., Sunday, July 28 while traveling southbound on the highway, said Trooper AJ Hicks, spokesman for the New York State Police.
An initial investigation found that Saunders was driving a 2014 Dodge Charger, in the center lane when he veered right, and then veered across the center lane into the left lane for an unknown reason, Hicks said.
