ICE Arrests Convicted Sex Offender In CT Following Prison Release
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested a 52-year-old Brazilian national who was convicted in Connecticut of sexual assault, unlawful restraint, and violating a restraining order, authorities said.
Emerson Eduardo Ferreira was taken into custody on Jan. 24, in Brooklyn, CT, after being released from state custody, ICE officials said.

Missing Mom Case: Former Fotis Dulos Attorney, Friend Pleads Not Guilty
A lawyer and friend of Fotis Dulos charged in the murder of missing Fairfield County missing mom Jennifer Farber Dulos, pleaded not guilty to a conspiracy to commit murder charge.
Kent Mawhinney, 54, who has been behind bars since his arrest on Jan. 7, appeared in Superior Court in Stamford for less than a minute on Thursday, Feb. 20, in order to enter his plea.
Mawhinney is a central figure in the high-drama case of the murder of Jennifer Dulos, who was last seen on Friday, May 24, 2019, after dropping off her five children at school in New Canaan.
