The victim, 27-year-old Wilmer Rodriguez of Hartford, was killed in an incident that happened on Saturday, Oct. 14 in Newport Town, Vermont, according to Vermont State Police. On the day of the incident, around 6:45 p.m., police were told that a man had been shot inside a home on Farrar Road. Vermont state police responded to the Stowe Mountain Resort in Cambridge at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 29, where there was a report of two skiers who went off-trail, with one falling off a cliff. Following an hours-long search, crews found the Connecticut man at the base of a cliff. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
