Severe Thunderstorm Watch Now In Effect For Parts Of Region A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is now in effect for parts of the region and may be expanded as several lines of storms, currently mainly north of I-84, are moving from west to east. Currently, the watch is in effect for Dutchess and Ulster counties in the Hudson Valley, Litchfield and Hartford counties in Connecticut, and Hampden, Hampshire and Worcester counties in Massachusetts. The twister was in one of the northern areas of New York and Connecticut in which a Tornado Watch was in effect.
