Blaze Damages 12-Story Vacant Building On Old Hospital Property In Port Chester Several fire departments had to race to an old hospital property in Westchester after a debris pile near a 12-story vacant building went up in flames.  The incident happened on Tuesday, Nov. 7 around 3:30 p.m., when firefighters responded to the old United Hospital property in Port Chester in the area of Boston Post Road and High Street, where a debris pile behind a 12-story vacant residential building had ignited.  According to the Port Chester Fire Department, arriving crews stretched lines to the pile and were able to extinguish the bulk of the flames. Woman Dies At Greenwich Hospital After House Fire A woman who died in a weekend house fire in Westchester has been identified. Cecelia Kussner, 85, was killed around 12:10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 22, in the fire at 490 Midland Ave. in Rye. Responding Rye Police and firefighters found fire coming from the second floor of the home, the department said.
