These Area Beaches, Pools Are Closed After Tuesday's Torrential Downpours
Fairfield County residents will need to find a different way to enjoy the sun as several beaches and pools will remain closed on Wednesday following the thunderstorms that rocked the region this week. In Stratford, all beaches will be closed for swimming until Friday after the area received more than two inches of rain within 24 hours. The closures come as part of the Stratford Water Pollution Control Authority rules. All swimming areas in Fairfield will be closed, including the Lake Mohegan swimming area, until Thursday. All beaches in Stamford and Greenwich are also closed.
