Stamford Murder Suspect Nabbed On Day Of Victim's Funeral On the day of funeral services for victim Stephon Walthrust, the Stamford Police Department arrested the man allegedly responsible for the fatal “senseless” murder, investigators announced. Walthrust, of Queens, was found shot multiple times in the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked on Garden Street on March 30, police said. He was later transported to Stamford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. ID Released For Man Shot, Killed While Sitting On Front Seat Of Vehicle In Stamford Stamford Police have identified a man who was shot and killed while sitting in the front seat of a vehicle. Stephon Walthrust, 26, of Queens, was discovered in the driver seat of a vehicle around 10:45 p.m., Saturday, March 30 on Garden Street, said Stamford Police Lt. Tom Scanlon. Walthrust, who had been shot multiple times, was transported to Stamford Hospital and later died, he added.
