Tax-Free Week Coming Soon In Connecticut The back-to-school season is here, making it the perfect time to take advantage of Connecticut’s tax-free shopping week, which will take place soon. Online and in-store clothing and shoes purchases under $100 will be exempt from the state sales tax of 6.35 percent from Sunday, Aug. 18 through Saturday, Aug. 24.
