CNN Anchor From Westport Announces Husband's Death In Heartbreaking Post
Alisyn Camerota, A CNN anchor from Fairfield County, CT and with New Jersey roots is mourning the loss of her husband, she announced in a heartbreaking post on social media.
Camerota, who was born in Shrewsbury, NJ said on Friday, Sept. 20 on Instagram that her husband, Tim Lewis, died on July 27, 2024 — two years after being diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Lewis' obituary on the Harding Funeral Home website says that he and Camerota live in Westport, CT.

Alex Cooper, host and creator of the popular podcast “Call Her Daddy,” revealed she is working through a traumatic experience she had with a coach while playing soccer at Boston University.

Sports Journalist Grant Wahl, Age 48, Dies Suddenly While In Press Box Covering World Cup
A popular sports journalist died while covering a game at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Grant Wahl, a New York City resident and soccer analyst for CBS Sports, was age 48.
According to CBS News, Wahl collapsed while in the press box during the Argentina-Netherlands quarterfinal match early Saturday, Dec. 10. Paramedics quickly responded, but Wahl was pronounced dead a short time later, the report said.
Wahl had written about health issues he had been experiencing while in Qatar.

Covid-19: Guidance Released For CT Fall HS Sports
The Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) has laid out its plans for all fall high school sports this year.
Officials announced that all fall sports will have seasons this year, including football, with certain COVID-19-related protocols put in place to help curtail the spread of the virus.
Masks will be required for volleyball, swimming while outside the water, indoor cheerleading, and dance for athletes, coaches, and officials. No masks will be required for football, soccer, field hockey, cross country, or outdoor cheer.

18-Year-Old From Fairfield County Killed In Jet Ski Accident
A 2021 high school graduate from Fairfield County is being remembered by friends and family after he was killed when two jet skis collided in the Long Island Sound.
Matthew (Matt) Horvath, age 18, of Shelton, died on Tuesday, July 27, in Milford, said Will Healy, spokesman for the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
Healy said Horvath was killed in a boating accident in which jet skis collided in the Sound.
He was rushed to Bridgeport Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Healy said.

A retired professor at Western Connecticut State University where a math scholarship is named in his honor has died.
Edwin Arthur Rosenberg, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science died Saturday, May 25 in Natick, Mass. He was 94.
Rosenberg lived in Ridgefield, Redding and Danbury, and most recently was a resident of Whitney Place in Natick, Massachusetts.
