Online news site Cheapism.com dubbed Fairfield County’s own Ridgefield as the state's best place to shop its “Best 'Main Street' Shopping Districts in All 50 States” ranking. In an attempt to stray away from big box stores in favor of mom-and-pop shops, the list gathers the most quaint shopping districts from towns with fewer than 90,000 residents.
