Man Turns Himself In On Charges Of Killing Local Boxer In Bridgeport A man turned himself in after an arrest warrant charged him with killing a local boxer. Suspect At Large After 27-Year-Old Shot, Killed In Bridgeport's Second Homicide In 24 Hours A shooting suspect is on the run after a 27-year-old was killed in Bridgeport, marking the second homicide in the city in 24 hours. The Bridgeport Police Department received reports of shots fired on Union Avenue shortly before 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, Police Capt. Brian Fitzgerald said.
