Man Caught After Stealing Items From Unlocked Cars In Fairfield County Two vehicles traveling at a high rate of speed in the Town of Southeast ended with one of the drivers behind bars for stealing items from unlocked vehicles. The Putnam County Sheriff's Office reported that after one of their officers spotted the two speeding cars on March 4 around 2:45 a.m., it took help from the New York State Police and the Brewster Police Department before both were stopped and a 20-year-old Danbury resident was in cuffs.
