Suspect In Beating, Rape Of Fairfield College Student Caught In Mexico After Four-Year Search A four-year hunt for the man accused of beating, strangling and raping a Fairfield college student has ended with his arrest in Mexico. Edibaldo “Eddie” Duran, 29, a Mexican national, was arrested Wednesday by Mexican officials after they received information of his location in the south-central city of Puebla from the U.S. Marshals Service and took Duran into custody.  Following his arrest, U.S. Marshal Service took Duran into custody in Mexico, where he was extradited to Connecticut on an outstanding warrant from 2014, said Fairfield Police Lt.
