Teen Duo Nabbed In Newtown For Monroe Burglary, Police Say Two teens stopped by police have been charged with an alleged burglary in Fairfield County. Authorities say they were spotted by Newtown Police Department officers in a car in the parking lot of a local smoke shop with no headlights and no license plates around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 26. Passenger Who Provided False Name Caught With Drugs, Weapon, Greenwich Police Say A 24-year-old man who was already known to police in the area was busted with a host of drugs and a weapon after he tried to pull a fast one on officers in Greenwich. Officers from the Greenwich Police Department conducted a traffic stop on West Putnam Avenue at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 29, when the drivers committed a violation. During that stop, police said that they were given probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants.
