Child Rescued From Underneath Vehicle After Crash Next To Port Chester High School A young victim had to be rescued from underneath a vehicle after they became trapped as the result of a two-car crash next to a high school in Westchester. The incident happened on Wednesday, Nov. 22 just after 12:15 p.m., when a two-car crash occurred at Port Chester High School at the corner of Neuton Avenue and Hillcrest Avenue, according to the Port Chester Fire Department. Arriving first responders soon found that the crash had happened next to the school auditorium entrance and that two people were still in one of the vehicles. Former Fire Chief, Business Owner From Port Chester Dies A village in Westchester is mourning the loss of a longtime business owner who rose to important positions in the community's fire department.  Lifelong Port Chester resident Robert "Tee" Thalheimer died on Friday, Aug. 11 at the age of 76, according to his obituary.  Thalheimer, the former Chief of the Port Chester Fire Department, was born in the village in 1946 and graduated from Port Chester High School in 1964.  After his graduation, Thalheimer began a career in carpentry working for Byram Builders before becoming a diesel mechanic for Consolidated Diesel…

Fairfield County resident Anthony “Tony” Ragusa, of Wilton, died at Danbury Hospital on Thursday, Aug. 4, following a brief illness, according to his obituary. He was born in Port Chester and graduated from Port Chester High School. A year after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and proudly served for six years. Joe then went on to spend the majority of his career working for Avon Products in Rye as part of its IT support staff. Port Chester High School Latino Club Raises Money For College Scholarships Port Chester High School's Latinos  Unidos Club held its fourth annual fundraising dinner on Thursday, May 3. The aim, according to PCHS teacher and club advisor Rosa Pena is to raise college scholarship money. Pena cited the strong support from the Port Chester community. At least 19 local restaurants donated tasty, ethnic dishes ranging from tacos and chicken to assorted rice dishes, salads, pizza and pasta.

Singer Robbie Hart rocks the Port Chester High School stage as the drama club presents its spring musical. In the movie, Sandler was a wedding singer in the 1980s and Drew Barrymore played a waitress named Julia with whom he fell in love. The show opened on Thursday, April 12.
