A man was charged with breach of peace for allegedly attempting to lure his neighbor's cat into his home in Fairfield County. James Dolyle, age 56, of Westport, was charged on Friday, Jan. 20, following an investigation by Westport Police that he had allegedly stolen the neighbor's cat. 'Dogged' Detective Work Leads To Recovery Of Pet Stolen In Fairfield County
It took a few months, but Connecticut State Police detectives were able to locate a family dog that went missing in February of this year. In the very early morning hours of Tuesday, Feb. 2, as much of the state was recovering from a major snowstorm, a Mercedes containing a family dog – Cindy – was stolen from the northbound Fairfield Service Plaza on I-95 in Fairfield. Police are asking for help locating a dog that was stolen during a home burglary in Fairfield County. The incident took place on Thursday, March 25 in Danbury, in the area of Mill Ridge Road. During the burglary, a 1-year-old American Bully named "Godiva" was stolen, Danbury Police said. Man Accused Of Stealing, Selling Dog In Fairfield County
A Fairfield County man with multiple warrants out for his arrest is behind bars after allegedly stealing a dog and then selling it, police said. In June, a woman reported to police investigators in Darien that her Dachshund dog had been taken from her Post Road apartment while she was away from the residence. Police said that all the apartment doors were closed, the dog’s penned area was intact, but a rear door to the apartment was unlocked. A Northern Westchester dog owner is offering a $5,000 reward after his “beloved” pooch was stolen out of his car on Valentine’s Day. Fliers have been distributed in the area by a Bedford man whose dog was stolen from his car while it was parked in a Scarsdale shopping center.
