Two Lanes Of Westchester Avenue In Port Chester To Close For 6 Days Motorists are being warned that two lanes of a busy road in Westchester County will soon close.  Beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 1, two lanes of Westchester Avenue westbound in Port Chester between U.S. Route 1 (North Main Street) and Abendroth Avenue will close between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. through Sunday, Nov. 6, the New York Department of Transportation announced.  The closure is to allow for the movement of equipment, officials said.

House Fire Breaks Out In Port Chester Authorities are investigating a fire that broke out at a Westchester County home over the weekend. Firefighters responded to a house fire on North Main Street in Port Chester at about 9:50 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 28, the Port Chester Fire Department said. Authorities found heavy fire that had traveled up the entire back of the home and into the back of the first, second, and third floors, officials said. The New York State Crime Stoppers issued a reward of up to $2,500 as police search for the woman that struck Jose Cortes in Port Chester on Tuesday as he was crossing the road.
