A fire in the Potash Brook area of the Natchaug State Forest in Windham was extinguished in the evening on Thursday, Sept. 17. Wildfire consumed 94 acres of parkland, said the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. Wildfire Burning In Connecticut Has Consumed Acres Of Parkland A wildfire that has consumed 50 acres is burning in Connecticut. Wildlife in Natchaug State Forest off Route 203 and the Air Line Trail has been burning since Wednesday, Sept. 16, afternoon, the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said.
