A Fairfield County man was arrested for allegedly attempting to cut a woman's dog's throat when the animal would not stop barking during a domestic dispute.
Edwin Gonzalez, age 30, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Monday, May 31, by Milford Police when they responded to the Mayflower Motel for a domestic violence report.
An investigation found that Gonzalez, who had an active order of protection against him, pushed the victim on a bed during an argument, Milford Police said.

Man, Woman From Bridgeport Charged After Armed Robbery Injures Clerk At Mayflower Motel
A man and woman have been nabbed after an armed robbery of the Mayflower Motel in Milford that injured the motel clerk.
The robbery took place around 9:45 p.m., Monday, May 13, at the motel at 219 Woodmont Road, said the Milford Police Officer Joseph Dempsey.
When officers arrived on the scene they found that a man had baited the desk clerk out from the back office by claiming the lobby microwave was broken, Dempsey said.
