Covid-19: Fairfield County Now Added To CDC's 'High Transmission' Category Fairfield County has been added to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's list of counties that recorded a high level of community transmission of COVID-19. In the week from Tuesday, Aug. 10 through Monday, Aug. 16, Fairfield County had a high level of community transmission, according to the CDC.
