A Connecticut delivery driver’s routine evening turned into a terrifying ordeal when they were carjacked at gunpoint, authorities said. The carjacking happened around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21, in the 200 block of Woodrow Ave. in Fairfield’s Southport neighborhood. The thief got away with several Christmas presents intended for area residents. An early morning shooting in New Haven sent four people to the hospital and left one woman clinging to life, authorities said. New Haven police responded to the 800 block of Chapel Street around 2 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, after 911 callers reported multiple gunshots, detectives said. Body-Cam Video Shows Suspect Fired First In New Haven Officer-Involved Fatal Shooting: Report
The Connecticut Office of Inspector General released its preliminary findings in a fatal officer-involved shooting last week and found that the suspect fired at police first. Jebrell Conley, 36, was shot and killed on Thursday, Sept. 19, at a West Haven car wash on Boston Road. The New Haven Police Department's Violent Crime Task Force went to arrest Conley around 5 p.m. on an outstanding robbery warrant. A Connecticut man faces a felony weapons charge after being caught with an illegally possessed gun during a traffic stop in the Hudson Valley, police announced. Fairfield County resident Mathew Conti of Danbury, age 27, was arrested in Putnam County on a weapons charge on Tuesday, June 25, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced on Friday, June 28. Fairfield County Convicted Felon Nabbed With Drugs, Gun, Police Say
A Fairfield County man was nabbed with drugs and a loaded gun after police received a tip he was selling drugs. Nnamdi Clarke, age 48, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 12 in Bridgeport. According to Capt.
