Joe Lieberman in a primary battle, Democrat Ned Lamont is the winner of Tuesday's Democratic primary race for governor of Connecticut. State Democratic Convention Kicks Off In Hartford
The Connecticut Democratic State Convention kicked off on Friday, May 18 praising U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy in downtown Hartford. Support in the race for governor is building for Ned Lamont of Greenwich. Susan Bysiewicz withdrew her challenge for the nomination and agreed to be Lamont’s running mate. On Thursday, Sean Connolly, former state Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner, dropped his bid for governor. Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim remains as Lamont’s only convention challenger.
