A Fairfield County woman is in critical condition after being struck by a Toyota Prius while crossing a street. Two-Alarm Blaze Injures Firefighter, Displaces Residents From Condo Unit In Stamford
Some residents of a condo unit were displaced and one firefighter was injured after a two-alarm blaze broke out overnight. At approximately 3:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22, the 911 dispatch center received a call reporting smoke coming from the roof of the building near Forest and Grove streets, the Stamford Fire Department said. The first arriving engine reported heavy smoke and fire visible on the top floor of the condominium unit at 104 Forest St. The fire was quickly upgraded to a second alarm.
