18-Year-Old Charged In 3 Stamford Armed Carjackings Of High-End Vehicles
An 18-year-old has been charged in connection with three armed carjackings in Fairfield County of high-end vehicles earlier this year. On Tuesday, June 18, the Stamford Police Department Major Crimes Unit concluded its investigation into New Haven County resident Tyssan Woods of Waterbury for his involvement in three carjackings that occurred during the early mornings of Tuesday, March 26, and Thursday, March 28, in Stamford. New details are shedding light on the lengths that accused Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann went to in hopes of getting away with his alleged murder spree. The 60-year-old Long Island resident, of Massapequa Park, was arraigned on two more charges of second-degree murder in Suffolk County Court on Thursday, June 6, in the killings of Jessica Taylor and Sandra Costilla. Bridgeport Man's Murder Conviction Overturned After 33 Years In Prison
A 62-year-old Fairfield County man who spent 33 years in prison in New York for the murder of a teenager had his day in court and his conviction has been overturned on Long Island. Keith Bush of Bridgeport, who has maintained his innocence for 44 years since his arrest in 1975, had his conviction overturned this week after a case review found new evidence that proved his innocence.
