Second Arrest Made In Fairfield County Sexual Assault Case Involving Police Officer A former Fairfield County fire captain has been arrested in connection with an alleged 2020 sexual assault that also involved an area police sergeant. John Scollin, age 34, of Shelton, turned himself in to Shelton Police on Wednesday, June 8.  He was charged with first-degree sexual assault. said Lt. Robert Kozlowsky, of the Shelton Police. Scollin was a captain with Echo Hose Hook and Ladder Co. in Shelton before the arrest. Man Admits To Rape, Robbery In Fairfield A 48-year-old man with a lengthy rap sheet has admitted to raping and robbing a woman on her way home from the Fairfield train station in 2016. With his trial approaching, New Haven resident Michael Fontaine pleaded guilty in court to first-degree sexual assault and first-degree robbery on Friday. Suspect In Sexual Assault Of Children Caught, Extradited To Norwalk After nearing four years, a man wanted for repeatedly sexually abusing a child has been caught and extradited to Norwalk.  The story of the long hunt for Antonio Lazaro Torres-Rodriguez began on Dec. 22, 2014, when the Norwalk Police Department received information that he had been sexually abusing a child in Norwalk over a prolonged period of time, said Sgt. Sofia Gulino. An investigation was quickly initiated, revealing that a second juvenile victim was involved.
