Person Of Interest In Fatal Fairfield County Hit-Run Crash Not Cooperating, Police Say A person of interest in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Fairfield County is not cooperating with police, officials said. The crash, which killed a popular landscaper from the area, took place in Stamford around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13.  Killed in the crash was Ronald Molina, a 52-year-old Stamford resident, said Sgt. Jeffrey Booth of the Stamford Police. Molina was crossing Tresser Boulevard walking northbound when he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling westbound, Booth said. The crash took place around 12:45 a.m., Monday, May 3, on Access Road near Lordship Boulevard in Stratford, said the Stratford Police. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Suspect Arrested For 2017 Fatal Hit-Run Crash In Fairfield County The Bridgeport Police Traffic Division have made an arrest in the fatal hit and run accident that took the life of 81-year-old Gasper Esteves of Bridgeport in 2017.  Esteves was standing outside of his Ford Ranger in front of his sister's house on Arlington Street when he was struck by a Volkswagen Passat on June 25, said Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. The driver failed to stop and fled the scene. Esteves was transported to St Vincent's Hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead a few hours later, police said.
