Forza Ristorante, located at 3171 Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport, serves an array of authentic Italian and Mediterranean dishes. The eatery was opened by chef Eric Sierra, who started his first restaurant in Westport in 1994 called “Le Bistro des Amis.” Sierra is also known for his role as the original owner of El Palio in Shelton. 11 Arrested, Reporter Detained During Protest On Anniversary Of Teen's Shooting In Bridgeport Eleven people were arrested and a journalist was detained during a demonstration in Bridgeport to commemorate the second anniversary of the shooting of a 15-year-old teen by police. The protest began at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, May 9, when a crowd assembled at the Walgreens location on the corner of Park Avenue and Fairfield Avenue to commemorate the two-year anniversary of the Jason Negron incident, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. Man, 46, Killed In Hit-Run Crash In Fairfield County Police have identified the motorcyclist who was killed in an apparent hit-and-run after colliding with a car in Bridgeport. Police confirmed that Edilberto Delgado, 46, died from injuries he sustained after colliding with a car Sunday night near the intersection of Mountain Grove Road and Fairfield Avenue. After Delgado struck the car, police said that the driver sped away. A passerby saw Delgado on the ground and contacted paramedics, though he was ultimately pronounced dead. Longtime Police Officer In Fairfield County Fired For Assault Incident A longtime Bridgeport police officer was fired Tuesday for drunk driving and assaulting a man at a local motel. Police Chief Armando Perez said he had little choice but to fire Officer Omar Jimenez, 34, following an Internal Affairs investigation into the September 24, 2016, incident.
