Man Accused Of Strangling Girlfriend In Westport A Fairfield County man is behind bars after allegedly strangling and beating his girlfriend after reading her text messages. Denis Mora Blanco, age 28, of Norwalk, was charged in Westport on Friday, Feb. 2, after being stopped on I-95 without headlights and a bumper dragging on the ground. According to Lt. 22 Arrested During Domestic Violence Warrant Sweep In Bridgeport Twenty-two suspects were nabbed during a domestic violence warrants sweep in Fairfield County. The operation, called "Sunrise at Congress 2024," took place in Bridgeport on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at several locations. According to Capt. Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police, the operation was aimed at addressing multiple outstanding domestic violence warrants in the city. The incident occurred on Friday, Dec. 1, in Norwalk in the parking lot on Connecticut Avenue. Lt. Tomasz Podgorski of the Norwalk Police said officers found the man after receiving a call for a person needing medical aid in the parking lot.
