Nearly a dozen Connecticut State Police recruits have been fired for allegedly violating training rules and regulations, officials announced. With temperatures expected to plummet, shelters and warming centers are being opened up in Connecticut. Gov. Ned Lamont announced on Thursday, Feb. 13 that with temperatures anticipated to potentially reach single digits, the state has activated its Severe Cold Weather Protocol.
