The Danbury Fire Department received an alert regarding a glider plane that had crashed into a home on Golden Hill Avenue on Tuesday, June 4 around 6 p.m. Further investigation revealed that a 2016 Alisport Silent 2 Electro glider plane from Danbury Municipal Airport lost power, and the pilot conducted an emergency landing that placed the plane through the roof of the occupied residence, according to the fire department. Two Seriously Injured In Rollover I-84 Danbury Crash A single-vehicle, rollover crash on I-84 has resulted in serious injuries for two individuals involved, authorities say. The crash occurred late in the evening on Monday, Jan. 28 in Danbury.  Danbury Fire Dispatch received a number of calls reporting an overturned vehicle on I-84 eastbound prior to Exit 3, according to James Gagliardo of the Danbury FD. Emergency units were dispatched to Bells Place to put out a structure fire Sunday, Dec. 23 shortly after 6 p.m. Upon arriving, Engine Company 22 showed visible smoke and confirmed other signs of a working fire.
