Bicyclist Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle In Fairfield County, Police Say A bicyclist was injured after being struck by a car in Fairfield County. The incident happened around 6:30 a.m., Friday, July 23, in Stratford, on Nichols Avenue. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene, and the cyclist was transported to an area hospital with injuries, Stratford PD Capt. Frank Eannotti said. Eannotti said the incident is still under investigation and did not say how seriously the cyclist was injured. This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Traffic Advisory: Expect Delays During CT Challenge Bike Tour In Fairfield County With more than 1,000 expected to participate in the annual CT Challenge Bike Tour on Saturday, traffic may be tied up on local Connecticut roads, leading to delays for motorists. Cyclists will kick off the event at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday morning, with participants competing in a 10, 25, 50, 75 or 100-mile route.
