Construction Vehicle Crash Closes Westport Roadway Morningside Drive South in Westport was closed in front of Greens Farms Elementary due to an accident involving a construction vehicle. A utility pole was struck during the one-vehicle crash that took place early afternoon on Wednesday, Sept. 25, said Westport Police Lt. Anthony Prezioso. The operator received a minor injury, he said. The road will remain closed until Eversource can assess the damage and make repairs.
